Florence Road Business Park – Callington

Block A – Florence Road Business Park, which is situated in Kelly Bray, Callington is a large commercial unit comprising of several independent businesses. The site owner wanted to install Solar PV to reduce the high energy consumption on site and also gain an income from additional generated energy sold back to the grid.

An application to National Grid was submitted for a 72kWp system which was approved but with the export limited to 28KW. The client didn’t see the limitation as an issue due to the high base demand from one of the businesses, meaning limitation would be kept to a minimum.

The system comprises of 176 Canadian Solar 410w modules and a Fronius Tauro 50KW three-phase Inverter.

Commissioned in December 2023 the client is already seeing a substantial reduction from imported energy, which along with total generation and self-consumption, can now be monitored via the Fronius Solar.Web monitoring portal.
